Online store Ozon testing sale of goods from Europe, China, US

MOSCOW, May 8 (PRIME) -- Russian online store Ozon has started testing sales of electronics, clothes and other goods from abroad, a company spokesperson told PRIME on Wednesday.

The new section offers several thousands of items from Europe, China, and the U.S. “Almost half the assortment from foreign suppliers are clothes and accessories, some 20% are electronics, and 10% are goods for beauty and health,” the spokesperson said.

Goods from Germany, Latvia, the U.S., and China are bestsellers.

Ozon accepts payment from a client, while the goods are delivered by a supplier. Standard delivery takes three weeks and is provided for free.

“The launch of the marketplace and testing of sales of goods from abroad mean new opportunities to expand assortment quickly and give buyers a greater choice. As a consequence, the fill rate and the frequency of purchases rise,” the spokesperson said.
